Voltage is not power
A higher voltage battery can supply more current, but nothing about that guarantees more air out of the nozzle. Air movement comes from how fast the impeller spins, how well it is shaped and how the nozzle concentrates the stream. A brushless motor at 55,000 RPM in a well-designed housing will out-perform a lazy motor on a bigger pack, while weighing a fraction as much.
What to look at instead
- Brushless motor — more air per watt and far longer life than a brushed motor.
- Weight with the battery fitted, not the bare tool weight in the specification table.
- Variable-speed trigger, so light jobs don't drain a full charge.
- Whether a spare battery is included, or a $40 extra.
- Charge time — an hour is reasonable, three hours is not.
Getting the most from a charge
- Work at half throttle and squeeze to full only for stuck debris.
- Clear hard surfaces first; grass and gravel eat runtime.
- Blow with the wind, not into it.
- Charge at room temperature, and keep the spare warm on cold days.

- How long does a battery leaf blower run?

- How long do the batteries themselves last?
- A lithium pack typically holds good capacity for several hundred charge cycles — years of normal seasonal use. Store it around half charge in a dry place over winter rather than flat.
